The implant is then placed in the desired location, if a Saline implant is used it is then filled with sterile saline to the desired size. Final fill volume of a saline implant will sometimes vary from side to side in an effort to correct volume discrepancies.

Recovery: Soreness and fatigue are common for a few days after surgery, but most patients return to work in about 3 to 5 days. There is some swelling in the breasts that can last for a few weeks while your body recovers. You can usually go back to normal activities and exercise within 3 to 4 weeks. The scars in the areola will be slightly firm and pink in color for a few weeks but will begin to fade in a few months.
