    Breast shape and size are very personal issues to a woman. Plastic Surgery Associates of Northern Virginia has over 15 years of experience with cosmetic breast surgery. We work in partnership with our patients to achieve the desired enhancement to the breast's appearance, whether through implants for augmentation or removal of skin and tissue for reduction or lift. Using photographic examples to help you select your desired look, our board-certified surgeon will assess the appropriate breast size, incisions to be made, and/or positioning of the breasts through surgical technique. • Breast Augmentation relies on FDA approved breast implants to increase the breast size and enhance its shape. A variety of surgical approaches are available to optimize each person's results.

• Mastopexy, or breast lift, offsets the effects of aging, childbirth or gravity by repositioning the nipple and giving the breast a rounder shape with more superior fullness.

• Reduction Mammaplasty, or breast reduction, alleviates the discomfort associated with large breasts through the removal of redundant breast tissue and skin. This results in a more proportionate breast and may lessen the stress on women's neck, back and shoulders.
