Sciton
Microlaser PeelŠ
Back
The
Sciton Microlaser PeelŠ has been successful in treating such skin
conditions as wrinkles, scars, acne scars, and pigmentary problems.
The process is individually tailored to the patient's condition.
The procedure is geared toward people who expect better results
than microdermabrasion or light chemical peels but have little
time for a prolonged healing process. The Sciton Microlaser PeelŠ
leaves skin looking fresh, stress free, and "polished."
Process:
A topical gel anesthesia is applied in the office to anesthetize
the skin that will be treated. Dr. Freedman then uses the Erbium
laser's high energy to remove the superficial layer of skin.
Recovery:
Patient recovery from the Sciton Microlaser Peel is rapid. Once
the procedure is complete, patients can drive themselves home.
Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble a sunburn,
with mild peeling on the second day and redness fading after the
first couple of days. Patients are usually able to return to work
within several days with make-up. Discomfort can easily be managed
with a pain reliever.
Results:
Men and women experience smoother, "glowing" skin following a
Microlaser Peel. The skin has improved texture, decreased pore
size and a reduction of some fine lines. The procedure can be
used in conjunction with certain skin care programs to maintain
healthy, vibrant skin.
