Browlift
Back
Some
people feel their "eyebrows are low" which gives their eyes a heavy
appearance. In these cases, eyelid surgery alone is not enough to
fully restore the appearance of the their eye and brow areas. The
muscles and skin that cause the droopy appearance can be tightened
with a browlift.
Process:
Incisions are made up near the hairline, the forehead skin is carefully
lifted and repositioned with the brows in a more anatomically correct
position. The excess skin is then removed and the skin is sutured
back into place.
Recovery:
It will take about a week before you will feel like returning to
work and the visible signs of surgery should begin to fade within
a couple of weeks. You may experience some numbness on the top of
the scalp near your incisions but that will lessen over several
months.
Results:
The result will be a firmer, more youthful appearance for the brow
area, forehead and eyes. In many cases the fine creased between
the eyebrows and across the forehead are lessened or eliminated
following browlift surgery.
